Silken Ramblas, Barcelona
This is listed as a 4 star hotel and I would agree with that rating - the hotel staff were excellent - friendly, efficient and always available to help at the front desk. Our room was a triple - two three-quarter size beds and a cot. It was a bit cramped because I was grandma travelling with my two teenaged grandkids but it was adequate. We were on the 4th floor and there is only the pool and a lovely open deck above us. The pool was rather small but very refreshing for a dip and there were suncots and tables and chairs. It was certainly well used by the grandkids and I had a few swims myself since the weather was always sunny and quite hot. The location of the hotel was perfect - half a block from the Ramblas where there was a grocery store nearby, lots of bank machines and information booths that provided travel info. We did not eat at the hotel but found lots of less expensive places nearby.[
